matter - made of place

As the name suggests the ceramic vessels that are part of the ‘matter’ collections have materials within them, these materials have been gathered from the nomadic journeys and experiences that Beverley took my inspiration from. Capturing a narrative and story, she has combined these collected materials with clay, creating unique pieces of still life, installation, or one-off forms.

These pieces are unique capturing elements of time and place, some of the materials are of limited quantities, and therefore so are the pieces made, giving them a precious quality.
